Orange Cranberry Sauce


  • 1 (12 oz) bag frozen cranberries
  • ¾ cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice (with pulp)
  • 2 tsp orange zest (optional)
  1. Wash cranberries and drain
  2. Add cranberries, salt, and orange juice to a sauce pan over medium heat and cover
  3. Once most of the berries have popped (about 10 minutes) reduce heat and add sugar; stir well to dissolve the sugar
  4. Cover the pot again and continue to cook another 10 minutes
  5. Cool and transfer to serving dish or a container for refrigerator/freezer
